Tis the season to be jolly

Posted by | christmas merchandise | 5 Comments

It’s time! I have waited till October before mentioning Christmas merchandise!
This year we have two cards
One is a nativity scene and one is a Ripple Retreat scene.
Both are A5 sized and so just need a regular stamp for posting.
We have packed them as a pack of 10 of one design or a pack of 5 of two designs.
We are incredibly lucky once again to have no costs with them so that every single penny from the sales of our cards comes to us. Special thanks to our printers Captivate Creative for their generosity and to Kate Holliday for designing them.
So do you want a pack or two?
If yes, get in touch as soon as possible – we have limited stock and once they are gone, they are gone!
£4 per pack – we can post to you  in UK- at cost.

Our advent calendars are designed by a Ripple Retreat neighbour, Mia. The latest trend is for colouring in – it’s very therapeutic.
We have 200 to sell at a mere £1 each – a fantastic wee Advent gift for the little ones in your life.

They are A3 size
Again, get in touch if you want to buy one (or ten!)

Christmas Cards 2016

It may only be September, but it’s time for us at It’s Good 2 Give to start thinking about Christmas cards! We all know how the festive season can creep up on you, so why not get ahead of the game and buy your Christmas cards early?

This year’s cards, two of which have been specially designed for us by Kate from Sunlight on Closed Lids and one which features the Wee Broon Dug, cost £4 for a pack of 10 cards. They are all A5 size.

They are in packs of 10 – all one design.

Email lynne@itsgood2give.co.uk to order yours and give to a good cause this Christmas!

Proud to let you know that every penny comes to us – printing was donated by Captivate Creative and envelopes, packing and labels donated by donor.

Evie’s boots and the shopfront cards both  have a little sparkle to them.

Wee Broon Dug is a photo taken by Nadia of Yellow Dog Photography.

Christmas Cards 2013 – Meet the Designers

Posted by | christmas merchandise, Special supporters | No Comments

Last but far from least – meet Kate  Holliday.

I first met Kate when she was working at a luxury stationery store in Edinburgh a few  years ago.  She offered to design me a christmas card and I loved it.

It is about friendship and support and each year our little girl, little boy, their dog, cat and the little wren do something different.  This year I asked Kate to include a toy bus to represent ‘our’ bus.   The result is spectacular.

As you know by now, I asked all our designers a few questions and  Kate’s answers are below.

I wanted  you to meet our designers properly because I am so proud of us getting support from people we know, and  having the cards printed here in Scotland (Perth to be exact) and wrapped and packed here in Edinburgh.

Shop local is something I support and so it seems ok to me to ask you to support us too!

Kate Holliday

“My best friend is a wonderful girl who I call Jim. We’ve been great chums for 12 years. Thanks Jim.

My favourite colour, or colours rather, are a red’dy orange and teal.

My favourite smells. Hard to choose, but off the top of my head……bread baking, cardamom and the smell of the outdoors after a good dose of rain.

Favourite puddings……hot sticky toffee pudding with cold vanilla ice-cream or just a simple bowl of fresh raspberries. Can’t think of many puddings I dislike though!

Something I would love…….I would love to travel north to see the Aurora Borealis. I hope to do this soon!”

Our thanks to all those who have designed our cards over the years and especially this year.

We are very proud to have our cards printed right here in Scotland by Farquhar’s of Perth – it makes a real difference knowing the people who are involved in every stage of the process.  Andy is their driver and always has a smile and good chat when he delivers our printing.

Our volunteers who fold the cards, then pack and wrap and tag them are the salt of the earth as are all those who help us sell the cards at events, fairs, exhibitions.

We will have all the cards at our upcoming events and  can order them via me – payment will be by cheque, cash or BACS (internet banking) or by credit card (small surcharge applies).  We can post out and will charge post and packing at cost.

Two of the cards – Cathy’s cards and Kate’s cards are available online at the Lothian Buses webshop.

Here is a wee photo of  the cards being delivered to Lynne by Andy from Farquhar’s printers in Perth.  Shop local!
