Busy Bees: Our Amazing Volunteers in Action!

Hey everyone, Lynne here, co-founder

March has been a whirlwind of activity for us, and it all kicked off with the Scottish Property Awards at the end of February. Our incredible volunteers, led by Jane (Volunteer Manager) and Sarah (Assistant Volunteer Manager), played a huge role in making it a success. They collected donations throughout the evening, and a separate team counted the cash afterwards with Trustee Donald as finance manager!

The energy didn't stop there! The very next day, we had another event, and a big shoutout to the Mackenzie family (volunteering dream team!) who manage our relationship with Edinburgh Rugby.

Then came Sunday and Glasgow Blingo! Fellow Trustee Rosemary had done a sterling job organising the event with another fabulous volunteer, Kirsty. Carla was our Event Manager, and Jane and Sarah were super busy again in their Volunteer Manager roles. We had four of our Trustees volunteering – Rosemary, Tabby (as a speaker), Donald (our finance whiz), and myself (chatting with guests, which I always love!).

Last Friday afternoon was the Falkirk Wheel abseil with Judith one of our charity ambassadors leading the way , then we had a training session for our Welcome Team volunteers on Saturday morning, and on Sunday, Susan led the crew at the Callander 10k.

And before we could even catch our breath, it was Sarah and Jane's Spring Lunch, with some of our Young Ambassadors volunteering.

Speaking of volunteers, we're actually looking for more amazing people to join our team! There are so many ways to get involved, from admin tasks at home to helping out at events. We're flexible and appreciate any time you can offer. Get in touch with me in the first instance for more information. lynne@itsgood2give.co.uk

Check out some photos from our recent events, and wish us luck for the upcoming ones!

Thanks,

Lynne
