Meet Clare - An It’s good 2 give Charity Partner

We are lucky to have many charity partners who help us out with their time, support and expertise, all of which is a huge help to us as a small charity.

We would like to introduce you to some of these fantastic supporters starting with Clare from Silverbean Jewellery

Tell us who you are and what you do?

After years of picking up shells on beaches in Scotland, getting inspired by leaves and giving silver handprints to friends and family, I decided to set up Silverbean Jewellery. I make my jewellery from my small workshop (shed!) in the garden. Silverbean includes; shell jewellery, leaf jewellery, heart jewellery, handprint jewellery, nature jewellery and the Ripple range. I take bespoke commissions and love the creative ideas that people have. 

Why you chose to support It’s good 2 give?

A friend, Hayley, told me about It’s good 2 give and introduced me to Lynne. I have huge admiration for what It’s Good 2 Give does and everyone involved in it – what amazing people and charity. I was inspired by the Ripple Retreat, it’s location and the shape of the building which lent itself to a range of jewellery. I worked with Hayley and Lynne to come up with a range which reflects the Retreat and we are always coming up with new ideas!  

What have you learned whilst being a supporter of It’s good 2 give? 

I visited the Ripple Retreat with my daughter and we were both in awe; the amount of thought and love that has gone into it is incredible, it is a very special place. It was lovely to meet more of the team and again I was full of admiration for those involved and still am. 

What have you enjoyed about the partnership?

I love working with It’s good 2 give and the passion of everyone involved is inspiring. The team are always coming up with fundraising ideas. I really enjoyed attending Blingo a few years ago - what a great event! It was lots of fun and everyone worked so hard to make it a success. 

Their passion is infectious and I often think about other designs to add to the range, I just need to harness a bit of their energy so I actually get around to it all!
