Challenge 26: My Biggest Fundraising Challenge
In 2006, I set out with a simple but determined goal: raise £50,000 to support young cancer patients and their families. I had no idea that this small act of fundraising would turn into a 20-year journey of heart, hope, and something truly life-changing.
Two decades later, It’s good 2 give is standing strong — and making a real difference every day. We've built something powerful, together.
I love a challenge and so to celebrate 20 years of volunteering and fundraising I decided to set myself a huge challenge.
That’s why I’ve launched Challenge 26 — a bold campaign to raise £500,000 in just 15 months.
It’s ambitious. It’s a bit scary. But it feels right. It feels full circle.
Why 26?
It’s the year 2026, and it marks 20 years since I began this journey. The number 26 will be at the heart of this campaign — 26 challenges, 26 partners, 26 ways to raise funds. Whether you walk 26 miles, host 26 quizzes, bake 26 cakes, raise £26 or £2,600 — you’ll be part of something extraordinary.
We’re also inviting 26 businesses and organisations to step up as Power Partners — committing to help us reach that £500,000 goal through sponsorship, fundraising, or support-in-kind.
Why now?
Because I love what we do. I love that we can say "yes" to the practical and emotional needs of families facing the unthinkable. I love that we’ve built something that truly listens, truly supports, and truly cares.
But there’s more to do. Families still need us. The demands are growing. And I want to leave knowing that we’ve built a foundation strong enough to carry this mission forward.
These funds will allow us to keep providing the essentials — family support, mental health and wellness support, hospital comfort kits, and time at the Ripple Retreat. It will help us say "yes" more often, and more confidently.
This is personal
I’ve poured my heart into this charity. I’ve met hundreds of families whose strength inspires me daily. I’ve seen the impact — the tears, the relief, the gratitude, the moments of light.
Challenge 26 will be my final fundraising campaign before I step back — and I want it to be the biggest, most powerful one yet.
Not for me. But for the kids. For the teenagers. For the mums and dads and siblings who just need someone in their corner.
